MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND TREATMENT PROCESS

STEPS IN DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

1. Customers come to the hospital

   • Patient get the examination number at the automatic number picker and wait for the registration.
   • The patient prepares the medical examination book (if any) or buys it at the cashier.
2. At the reception desk – cashier

   Provide the necessary documents to complete the medical registration

   • KCB BHYT: Go to a specialized clinic according to the number of rooms printed on the checklist.
   • Medical examination without health insurance: Pay the examination fee at the cashier before moving to specialized clinics.
3. At a specialty clinic

   • The doctor examines and consults, assigns necessary subclinical indications (laboratory tests, ultrasound, x-rays...).
4. Return to cashier

   • KCB BHYT: The patient advances according to regulations.
   • Medical examination without health insurance: The patient pays the subclinical indications according to the price issued.
5. Implementation of subclinical indications

   • Patients go to designated rooms to perform services.
6. At the primary care clinic

   • Patient return to the original clinic when all the results are available for the doctor to conclude.
   • Patients receive a summary of medical examination at a specialized clinic after the end of the examination or treatment.
7. At the end of the examination, get a health insurance card

   • KCB BHYT: The patient brings a List of medical examination and treatment costs to the cashier to finish the process of examination, payment and receipt of health insurance card (if any).
   • Medical examination without health insurance: The patient would like to skip this step.
8. At the pharmacy

   • Patients receive health insurance drugs at the pharmacy (if any).
   • Patients buy medicines outside of Shi and pay at the pharmacy.
